kimann “writes with pictures & draws with words” & is an IU Bloomington graduate (art history/german) who also received design & illustration training at Parsons & FIT in NYC. kimann has produced numerous literary illustrations as well as bridal & architectural portraits on commission & was the Meridian-Kessler Home Tour artist for 5 years.
a self-described “pollyanna polemic,” & ardent arts advocate, kimann has a podcast series, “Fashion News & Muse.” she is the author of a pop sociology commentary, a full-length novel, numerous short stories, fairy tales & a collection of poems & lyric poetry, RUGS ON PUDDLES COATS OVER OCEANS. her books are available for Kindle at Amazon. kimann’s essay “Do What You Have to do” was featured in the 2012 release, THIS I BELIEVE: ON MOTHERHOOD.
kimann also serves on the boards of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library & the Indianapolis Opera & is past president of the Fashion Arts Society of the Indianapolis Museum of Art
